Who we are
The Level is a service run by Framework.
Framework is a charity delivering housing, health, employment, support and care services to people with a diverse range of needs.
Regardless of their past, or the challenges they face, we empower people to achieve financial stability, social inclusion and independence, because we believe that everyone has the right and potential to achieve a better future.
We do this by delivering a network of services that blend together to suit the needs of the people we support – providing a safety net for some and for others a platform for real and lasting change. Framework is regulated by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). In our most recent assessment we were rated ‘good’. You can learn more about Framework by visiting our website here.
What we do
The Level provides individually tailored programmes of treatment and care for people who need medically assisted stabilisation or detoxification from alcohol and other substances.
We take referrals from Community Substance Misuse Services and we can also accommodate private clients. If you are an organisation or Community Substance Misuse Team that is looking to set up an arrangement to use The Level, please make an enquiry and we will get back to you at the earliest opportunity.

Nottingham Recovery Network
The Level is part of Nottingham Recovery Network (NRN), the local drug and alcohol service for people living in Nottingham City. NRN is a network of organisations offering support, advice and treatment to people who use alcohol and drugs in a problematic way.
Nottinghamshire Healthcare
Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust provides integrated healthcare services, including mental health, intellectual disability and physical health services. The Level works in partnership with the Trust in the delivery of our inpatient treatment.
Dear Albert
Dear Albert is a professional lived experience recovery organisation, building sustainable recovery communities that can be utilised as a resource by those wishing to move away from problematic alcohol & drug use. Dear Albert facilitates monthly pre-detox information sessions and weekly in-house peer support sessions on behalf of The Level.
Double Impact
Double Impact is a charity offering a wide range of support and training to people recovering from drug and alcohol misuse, including recovery groups, one-to-one support, peer mentor training and help accessing further education and learning. Double Impact facilitates weekly in-house peer support sessions at The Level.
SMART Recovery
SMART (Self-Management and Recovery Training) is a programme providing training and tools for people who want to change their problematic behaviour, including addiction to drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, gambling, food, shopping and the internet. Our therapy team is SMART trained and delivers regular SMART recovery sessions as part of a structured programme of interventions.
Alcoholics Anonymous
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share experience, strength and hope with each other that they may solve their common problems and help others to recover from alcoholism. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop drinking.
Narcotics Anonymous
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a non-profit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. NA uses a 12-step model developed for people with varied substance use disorders to support them in their recovery.
